‘Hello’ Adele and Welcome Back
After a three year hiatus, Adele has returned with the release of her new song ‘Hello’ this week. The new single is the first from her upcoming album ’25’ and it has already climbed the charts to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. With her universal appeal, Adele has made an impressive comeback, as no surprise to everyone who has been waiting to see what she will do next.
The music video was released and ‘Hello’ has also set a new Vevo record for most played video, surpassing Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ video. With seemingly little effort, Adele working her way back into the charts has been a huge success.
There are many questions about how Adele has become so successful without having done one world tour or making a lot of public appearances. What people should be focusing on is how Adele is spectacular at branding herself. Even through her music, you can hear who she is. She has the talent to be raw and real through her work and in interviews. She remains fearless when telling her stories and revealing her emotions through her songs. And she does this while reaching a wide audience filled with kids, teens, parents, and grandparents.
Adele has a strong power over her listeners who she has reached and connected with through her work. Allison Howe, a producer who has worked with Adele on her previous album said, “she’s also a woman who knows exactly what she wants her music to do and how she wants it to make [listeners] feel. She completely knows – that’s what makes her special.”
Adele chose the role of being a mother to her son over the past few years instead being in the public eye of the music industry and her fans have showed their continued devotion to her work with the release of ‘Hello’. Never losing the sense of who you are as an artist and a person is an extremely admirable trait in this industry and Adele embodies that whole heartedly. Now that she is ready to release her stories that she has been writing for the last years, there is nothing stopping her. More power to you, Adele!
